Jacketless Condenser Tube
- Lab Society
$95.00 – $325.00
Our jacketless “air” condenser (glass tube adapter) can be used as a condenser for high-boiling-point compounds that do not require large temperature differentials to condense during distillation.
Now you can know the exact temperature of your vapor (or condensate) as it moves through your system.

Description
Perfect when combined with our heating mantle.
Together with this product, we also offer a Condenser Tube Heating Mantle, which holds the thermocouple to the tube via the heated jacket and slot (located in the condenser tube itself).
These two pieces working simultaneously will heat vapor (or distillate) passing through, which can reduce the hold-up of your system while increasing the flow. This is achieved thanks to the increased heat, which reduces the viscosity of the material inside the condenser.
Our jacketless “air” condenser (glass tube adapter) can be used as a condenser for high-boiling-point compounds that do not require large temperature differentials to condense during distillation.
Rather than being cooled by a liquid, the tube is cooled by air. The tube itself features a trough along the top, to increase surface area and provide a space for a thermocouple.
Know the exact temperature of your vapor (or condensate) as it moves through your system.
The jacketless tubes can also be used in conjunction with our condenser heating mantle jacket (LS-HMS-CM1).
Utilizing a thermocouple placed in the trough of the tube (in between the heating mantle in conjunction with a precision temperature controller LS-TCM-S) gives the user the ability to heat the outside of the tube to reach high temperatures (up to 250C) precisely and consistently without the use of heating oil.
Not only does this save capital on a heating re-circulator and heating oil, but is much cleaner and safer for laboratory use.
Increased efficiency and reliability.
The heated condenser tube increases efficiency, with reduced viscosity and increased energy during fractions.
